You Can't Rush Your Healing

I have always been a good student of life in a material sense: capable of assessing and identifying what is needed for success in the functional world. This has served me in many ways. At the same time, this overt sensitivity to what is wanted or needed from me has been a distraction from my own healing. My ego was whispering that I’m in control, responsible, and therefore to blame for the good and the bad, and that pain is bad, a failure, something to be resisted. It was a lonely place to live.

I’m now learning how to meet my emotions with love and to value that part of myself that is scared.

Healing is the process of returning to an understanding of your core goodness, an embrace of your worthiness. This process takes time. This song is a reminder to me to take it slow and know that every step forward, regardless of how uncomfortable it may be, is walking me one step closer to the peace and freedom that comes with surrender.

I surrender my heart to a divine force within me that has the strength to love without limits.

May this song bring love to your heart and peace to your mind, as we embrace the collective journey of healing as one.
